Where does the Blount trade rank in the BB era?

I like Blount too. I think we would agree that if Ridley wasn't fumble prone he would be getting the clock-killin' carries over Blount.

They showed some trust in ridley in the ravens games..he had 3-4 HARD runs on that last drive that i thought blount would be taking

It's not the best ove ever but it's defiantly not the wose. I think it is still to early to tell.

Yeah, it would seem that Ridley is starting to earn the trust of his coaches back a bit, or else he'd have never been getting those carries late in the game when he were "only" up 20-7, but didn't seem to have any momentum at all.

The play of Blount having been very well of late allows Belichick to sit back and make Ridley earn his trust back even more, as that may not have happened without Blount running as consistently as he's been.

I hate Blount and I don't like Ridley. I want better RBs in New England.

sometimes i think this site needs an azzclown asylum when i read posts like this.

wow....300+ total yards today

Yeah, okay... Blount had an awesome game. But watch him screw up and cost us in the playoffs! It will happen!

I think it ranks……high to quite high?

Honestly as great of a game he had today unless he resigns and is productive in the future or we win a Super Bowl this season with him as an integral part the trade is not that high because it is 1 season of 700 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns.

The other trades like Moss, Dillon, Welker and even Talib resulted in multiple seasons of productivity.

Go sit in the corner, please. You are in time-out until you say ten Hail LaGarrettes.

I hope they resign him. I will be nice to keep the band together have Ridley, Blount, Vereen and Bolden here next year. They make for a formidable group especially if Ridley can maintain his improved ball security and Vereen can remain healthy for 14-16 games.

The trade is looking better all the time.

So do I. He has seen the flip side of the coin in what it is like to play for a dysfunctional organization (TB) and maybe that will incline him to resign here....

I have always been a big Blount supporter since his first days in Tampa......A lot of u on here whined, botched and moaned about it being a bad trade......and all those that did that need to admit it and EAT CROW today!!! To me the guy has shown it all season.....today he showed all you haters.....GO PATS! GREAT WIN....GREAT GAME BY BLOUNT!

I think ppl remember I was very in favor of the Blount force trama signing. Was happy he left our Division. Hes a born bruise back. Shane is my favorite because he was born with skills of forsight, its a real joy to see that kid run, and he will get better with age.
But Blount is a RB NE needs to keep. Hes not exspensive, a serious 3-1 threat, and was born to hurt LB's. I wouldnt trade him for an unknown.
