No but we are talking here about guys that have ringS, plural.
P.Manning doesn't belong to that department.
I'll take Manning over Bradshaw any day of the week, your argument is invalid.
The 49ers were 2-14 in both the year before Walsh arrived and Walsh's first year. They were 6-10 in Walshs second year, when Montana started 7 games. In Montanas first year as a starter they won the next season they won the SB.The dynasty 49ers would wipe the floor with any team tom brady has had and any team peyton has ever had.
Those 49ers were stacked on both sides of the ball.

That was not a good football team. Montana was the reason they won.
The second one was a little more talented.
Montanas teams also faced better competition.
Well, I'll take Bradshaw, and history would favor me with more rings.
Yeah, be sure to take Trent Dilfer over Marino
This is very insightful. When Marino built his stats, he was considered the greatest. Then Favre eclipsed them and while his erratic style keep him from being considered in the GOAT conversation it knocked Marino out, and while Manning surpasses those Favre will become a footnote like Marino. The rings are much harder to surpass than stats in a game that favors the pass more and more each year.EXACTLY MY POINT!
People forget that the very first year Marino hung up his boots, fans of the day still argued he was GOAT status due to his stats. "It was just a shame he never got that ring."
They did the same exact thing with Dan Fouts.
I know with both of them, and saw with Marino in particularly, that these GOAT arguments at the time were purely emotional attachment, and their presence in the GOAT discussions did not stand the test of time.
Stats always lose to rings in the long haul. Stats are only relevant to conversation while the players are playing. After retirement, they fade quickly from the conversation.
There were plenty of Marino Vrs Montana conversations back in the day, and plenty of people were on the side of Marino. Now, all these years later, nothing has changed about the ammunition that was used on each side.
The only thing that's changed is now the only people who actually say Marino are 60 year old jaded Dolphin fans.
It will be the same for Brady vrs Manning.
Time will erode Manning from the conversation.
Brady will remain forever.

I believe the Goat discussion has evolved. In the past ,you needed only rings, now in order to be truly the greatest, you need to have the most rings and the most Stats. Brady is the most balanced of the bunch, but even he needs additional Superbowls in order to be the undisputed king.
What is the point of this thread?
Is this a Patriots forum or a Peyton Manning isn't that impressive because of a variety of reasons forum
Demonstrating that Peyton Manning only gets into the GOAT discussion by riding into it on Tom Brady's shoulders. Read OP. It isn't that hard.
He may need 2 more to be undisputed. Montana was pretty amazing.
That's nonsense, and any reasonable football fan knows it.
This thread is just another in a long line of P Manning attacks. I think Brady is better too, but damn so many Patriots fans are insecure about this.
