Thursday Night Football: Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars

I don't think you'll be able to get an accurate depiction of the noise at the stadium. In the year 2013, television microphones aren't able to pick up all of the crowd noise which may make the stadium seem quieter than it is.

Excellent point! I should've thought of that myself.

Aside from maybe Bridgewater, who has had a down season, this is a relatively deep class for quarterbacks where the Texans might be able to chance taking one down the line. If they draft first, they're getting Clowney. In that event, I'll be glad we don't play them next season for the sake of Brady's health.

Not sure I fully agree. Picking Clowney could set the Texans back further, especially if they don't resolve their QB situation (and Keenum is not the answer). There's questions about Clowney's motor and the big knock on him is "he doesn't like football." Something says "bust" about him once he hits the NFL.

Thursday night football was a shame this season, I can count 2 or 3 watchable games.

Seriously, I know they try to be fair putting all the teams on at least one primetime, but I fell offended when it's a Jaguars game. Stop doing that NFL.

From everything I've seen the motor is fine. I think people confuse his motor with the injuries he's been battling this year. Of course, he could bust just like any other draft pick may. But Clowney looks NFL ready and, paired with JJ Watt, that defensive line would be any quarterback's nightmare.

Sure, getting paid with a wiener sounds fair.

After the voucher is used, I'll go to the restroom, clean the shame off, and go back out to watch two horrible teams duke it out.

They wouldn't be giving up alot of points with that Defense so a game manger at QB would suffice. I am sure they can find a QB in Rounds 2 or 3 if it came down to that. They are Drafting near the Top in every round.

I sure hope not. I don't want to see Clowney and Watt on the same D-line.

I think they get a QB if anything. But that Watt/Clowney tandem would be terrifying.

i'm going to watch this game. Texans 24 Jags 20

I went to the Pats game there last year, its a nice stadium and easy to get in and out of. I wonder how many times it will be called the "Clowney Bowl" tongiht? Put me down as someone who wouldn't want to face a Watt-Clowney front line.

There are even several hotels that you can either walk or take a water taxi to the stadium. Its a nice weekend spot, too bad they have a bad team.

Imagine how Brees/Newton/whoever the hell Tampa puts under center would feel about facing that D-line twice a year.

QBs to GMs:

"We're drafting O-line with every pick this year, right?"

The Falcons D Line isn't that good...

The Teddy Bridgewater Bowl tonight. Excellent!

The Falcons D Line isn't that good...

I put the wrong divisional foes in my post. For the Texans, it would be

Colts/Titans/Jaguars

So change Brees/Newton to Luck/Locker

Houston Jacksonville is on comedy central now

I mean NFL network

Re: Houston Jacksonville is on comedy central now

I want to see someone smash a red hot frying pan in Rich Eisen's smarmy face.

Re: Houston Jacksonville is on comedy central now

That drive was too easy for Jacksonville....

Has the Bridgewater/Clowney tanking operations been initiated by the front office?
