Josh Boyce active. Interesting.

With Bolden inactive, not sure I buy this "ease" Vereen back into the offense thing i've been hearing about.

Bolden is a healthy scratch as far as I can tell. He was taken off the injury report this week.

So much for Vereen being eased back in and in a timeshare with Bolden, like some were speculating. Shane's in line for a monster workload in all likelihood.

its not like they needed to bring him back slowly.......the arm is either fine or he's not playing.......it's not an ankle or a knee........

I have to be brutally honest if that Ahmad Brooks call had happened to Brady and he then said what Brees said i would have been embarrassed and disgusted no matter if we'd won the game or not.

Just not fair on the defensive side, i think i'm gonna be less harsh on the Pats D from now now on because the rules are getting so lob sided.

Not sure how much longer i can watch Chandler Jones get held in the face and get a no call on a weekly basis.

Amanda Belichick - the first female head coach in nfl history. Book it. Not because she's a woman but because she's a Belichick and can therefore coach.

The pats should hire amanda when josh decides to take the next big contract.

Worried the pats will be rusty a bit from the layoff but biggest concern is the rush defense. That is the key to this game. Panthers avg 46 % or something 3rd down a lot of it due to the rushing defense.

Ugh another hour to go. This game can't come soon enough. Hope the team doesn't have the broncos in the back of their mind like I do.

If Pittsburgh was the perfect storm for the offense then with Vereen there should be warning sirens in Carolina because they're about to hit.

Steve Young: "Brady hasn't had the marquee names at WR through his career, a couple guys for a short time in Moss and Welker, but what he has ALWAYS had is premier tight ends."

Say what?

Jermaine Wiggins? Cam Cleeland? Kyle Brady? Daniel Graham? Ben Watson? Huh?

Gronkowski and Hernandez yes, but that's 2011 on.

because it's time.......because everything that was don in the off season was done to have things come together around now.

the pats got to 7-2 mostly without a TE, a 3rd down RB, and they did it largely with rookie WR's. it was like spending half the season playing with ankle weights and they're coming off now......tonight.......

my question is: 'what is everyone going to say when the pats offense shreds the panthers defense?'

DAMN, it will make for one hot week of pats-broncos talk

media will probably say that we (pats) still havent proven ourselves as the panthers are a team with a lot of holes, etc. and the defense had the benefit of a weak schedule and weak QBs to look good so far and how the defense wont be able to keep up with broncos next week

i am fired up. WE ARE GOING TO UNLEASH the next two weeks

Young is clearly suffering memory loss from concussions caused by repeated blows to the head.

NFL Week 8 The MMQB Pressure Points by Greg Bedard | The MMQB with Peter King

Greg A. Bedard ‏@GregABedard 5m
Panthers DE Charles Johnson, who has a key matchup with Patriots LT Nate Solder, talked pass rush for Pressure Points

Greg A. Bedard ‏@GregABedard 3m
And right below Johnson, Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich talked about why he often can't cut loose on rush (like tonight)

Greg A. Bedard ‏@GregABedard 2m
Charles Johnson & Greg Hardy vs. Nate Solder & Marcus Cannon is a bad matchup for Patriots. Both OTs have good feet but struggle vs power

Greg A. Bedard ‏@GregABedard 2m
One of the reasons why I expect Patriots to throw quick and go up tempo coming off the bye week.

Edit: SVN hacked me! ;)

What amazes me is how many long runs Denver wide outs have made...

Ben watson wasn't gronk, but he was ******* amazing when the pats needed him the most.
