A while back, there was a thread which discussed what the nickname of the TE duo of Gronk and Hernandez should be. I believe Boston TE Party won out.

After reading this from Greg Bedard's article on Aaron Hernandez's extension: Hernandez $41.1m extension shows Patriots are evolving - Sports - The Boston Globe :

"The man his closest friends and family call, “Chico” drifted some as a teenager..."

I'm kinda liking Chico and the Man as the new nickname. :)

flew right over the heads of half the demographic...half our fans wouldn't know Jack Albertson from Jack Nicholson...

Not to mention that show wasn't even near as good as our duo.

Sounds good as tagline (nickname); but ditto w/ joker and not only is the tv reference lost on folks; but if Hernandez's Chico nickname isn't known and used in the locker room; it is lost on most fan-folks on both ends of the reference.

Jack Albertson was the Joker, right?

The Boston TE Party obviously.
TE-bagged would work also...butthat's more for a younger/gamer crowd (even if it made it into the mainstream a little bit)

More like 90% of the demographic.

"Smash and Dash"

Pfft, I know Jack Albertson :p He's that guy that went, "HEY HEY HEY!" right?

Plus Freddie Prinze was a suicide....let's not go there.

"Smash and Dash" has does have a certain simplistic charm to it.

Or "Smash and Burn".

Shouldn't they be the Boston TE Fiesta?

No Love for the Wide Receivers?

During Training Camp I brought a sign that featured the heads of Gronk, Hernandez, Welker, and Lloyd over the bodies of the avengers.

Above them I had the nickname "WEAPONS OF MASS RECEPTION"

Of course, THE AVENGERS works too. After all, we are trying to avenge the Super Bowl loss.

If Welker moved in with Gronk and Hernandez - perhaps "2 1/2 men"?

Two losses... ugh... Literally inches from 5-0 and greatness...

I am a fan of Gronknandez....I want a custom jersey with that on the name plate and 81 on the front and 87 on the back.
