A few non action things I noticed that might not have shown up on tv.
-There was a fairly good contingent of Pats fans in the Gaslamp on Saturday night. The Chargers restricted tickets to California Zip Codes.
-A good hour before the game, Pioli was on the field meeting and greeting. He seemed very gracious in shaking hands with Pats fans. By the way, the guy is absolutely huge. He must lift every day.
-Wright is not only huge, but he moves very well for a big man.
-One fan had a sign that read "bring on the Colts". I think that was the general attitute of many fans prior to the game.
-As the players went back in the locker room afer warm ups, Pioli was shaking hands with several players.
-Kraft was on the sideline before the game. Kraft shock hands with several players and spent a good couple of minutes talking with Cory Dillon as he rode the stationary bike.
-For those who thought that SD fans were low key, the stadium was absolutely rocking. It was one of the loudest crowds I've experienced. I brought a radio IPOD, however ear plugs might have been a better choice. Most people in my section, Plaza Level, didn't sit for most of the game.
-I was listening to a local radio station for the play by play and you could tell that they were really trying to play up the chargers during the 1st half.
SD had it's share of drunk and obnoxious fans. I personally had peanuts and some paper trash thrown on me in the 3 rd quarter.
-After the 1st half, you could tell there was a momentum shift.
-That said, after the game most fans were more gracious. You could tell that many people were in shock.
