Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

I hope every New York newspaper goes out of business.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

The post really is the ******* of all media. All I take from that is that Gisele is a caring wife and they think it's mock worthy. Crazy.

I agree. The Post is prob the biggest a-hole paper of them all. On top of that I think they take pride in being that way.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

Isn't the Post owned by that scumbag Rupert Murdoch who is responsible for the huge email hacker scandal in Britain??? Or do I have the wrong scumbag?

Yes. NY Post is owned by Mr. Murdoch.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

The Post (and some of the other NY tabs) have tipped their hand pretty well this week. Look for a "Spygate v2.0" story or something equally sensational hitting the web early Sunday morning.

Won't matter if it's true. The sources will be un-named and the facts shaky at best, but they'll do it anyway because ESPN/NBC/PFT etc. will talk about it endlessly and it will drive traffic to their site.

Let's be clear: there are no "standards" anymore in that kind of business and some would debate, possibly correctly, there never were any standards. Slack Jawed Tomase is still employed at The Globe on a very important beat. Mike Fish is still writing for ESPN. Case closed.

John Tomase is still employed by the Herald. To my knowledge, he has never been employed by the Globe.

The only thoughts I have is that she is a great wife and the NY Post should be ashamed of themselves

The words "shame" and "ashamed" are foreign concepts to the New York Post.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

“My sweet friends and family,” the e-mail began. “This sunday will be a really important day in my husband’s life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .
“So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.
“Thank you for your love and support. Love, G ”

On a personal note, my wife who has lived decades with a hard core Patriots fan is well aware of Brady's "intensity", and she always says that it must be living Hell for Gisele after a loss. So she's probably praying for the sake of her own sanity and marriage. Although I would never really pray for a football outcome, I think it's sweet and looks good on her.

Really? REALLY!?

A woman asking her family to pray for her Husband to do well at his job is being construed as Tom having no confidence/her having no confidence in him?

Geez, these people need to get real jobs.

Correct. Not that it matters.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

I can't see how this is possibly viewed negatively. Giselle gained a few points in my book (not that she really needed to gain any more).

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

She seems like a very sweet and down to Earth woman. Between this, her charities/causes she stands up for, and how we never see her on TV during games, I am very impressed. Tom did very well for himself, and not just in the looks department.

Re: New York Post releases private email from Gisele to close friends and Family memb

Not a big deal, but in some respects it does matter. The Herald should have at least disciplined him via a suspension or even fired him. It did neither, which made their front-page apology ring hollow and screamed out loud that they were more afraid of being sued by the Krafts (which was seriously considered) than admitting that he/they were wrong. In the end, they did what all gutless organizations do in such cases - they simply moved the offending employee to a different assignment. Believe me, I have had my issues with the Globe, but at least they did the right thing with Borges: the first case of plagiarizing resulted in a suspension, and the second case got his employment terminated. And guess who happily hired him - the Herald.

More proof that the NY media are a bunch of seriously demented ***holes, who will go to great lengths to try and make a story out of absolutely nothing.

I forgot how bad it was to have a NY team in a big game, and I can't honetly believe that this is even remotely a story.

WAY to much credit.
