Warren is resigned and i think we will see more 3-4 this week which also happens to be our good Run stopping DL.

we lost run defense and gained no passrush.

I would like to see this

3-4 with Vince , warran and ellis with carter/anderson in a rush end role.
we will be playing more like the steelers with OLB who can rush than cover but in passing down in the above package we will have a TE/RB blocking carter or anderson.

This will be a scheme change to help passrush and run support but i am ready for some defense .
You need to get our OLB matchedup against TE to make things happen.

Summarizing i wrote later
Why 4-3 is not going

1)We just released a shorter , 300 LB penetrating tackle
2) Pyor our other penetrating tackle is in IR.
3) Our best pass rushing DT - Wright is suffering from concussion is out.
4) Albert is not in shape and not the guy from the past.people need to get over the fact that he is NOT going to be in 2007 form and play 50 snaps a game.

More 3-4 base

1) When Pyor went on IR we signed a 300 lb penerating tackle cohen over a 330LB 3-4DT who can hold the point of attack.NOW we swapped.
2) Brace and Deadrick again are 3-4 ends.week 6 they are being activated.
3)Cunnigham is too small and so is Ninko for ends. Cunningham before this week played 1 snap.
4)force teams defend your OLB/DE with TE. get the matchup to create havoc.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

Warren, yes. The 3-4 I'm not sure about. 4-3 2-gap? Ya, that seems likely.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

I don't think we'll see 3-4, but a 4-3 with 3-4 alignment (so Carter can have his hand down) makes sense. And Ninkovich is going to be on the field no matter what alignment they're in.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

Are we assuming fat albert is out? Gotta go 4-3 unless he's playing DE in 3-4.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

Welcome back!

With Pryor gone, this makes a lot of sense.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

Good move - I was hoping that he would be available as he played very well last year, enough for Vince to give him big kudos. It was tough seeing all the injuries last week but this just about makes up for Pryor going on IR.

Welcome back, now go get 'em

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

This defense has fallen so low that people are jumping for joy over the return of Warren. This is a sad day in recent Patriots history.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

I like this move. Esp w. the Raiders rushing attack and Albert's back.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

I don't think we will go true 3-4, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us in okie 4-3 (or technically a 33 stack.

But I could be completely wrong.

Seems like you should be asking that question of yourself rather than others.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

A true 3-4 means replacing a DL with one of Cunningham or Fletcher at OLB.

It has the potential benefit of making Spikes a better player.

That could be a decent set of tradeoffs.

Nobody's expecting it all game anyway.

Re: Warren and the 3-4 return

So Warren returning is official? Why don't I see this anywhere... and this is G Warren right

I thought he did good last year. Glad he'll be out there.
