Patriots Brady Still Not Over Jets Loss

Giants loss hurt the most. The next morning, stopping for gas and coffee, the guy at the toll booth, everyone at the job site, at the diner for lunch...it was like a morgue everywhere you went. No one ws smiling, speaking, bad posture...the works!

So much history there for the taking.

I didn't get that complete devastation after the Jets game. Maybe I imagined the whole thing.

Man I feel your pain. This why I hope the Pats destroy both of NY's teams this year when play them. All we need is for the Pats to destroy teams like they did @ the end of the regular season in playoffs this season!

I'm not over it either. I'm still pissed about it. I'm still pissed about the loss to that other New York team too.

If that loss motivates the coaches and players for this season, great. I hope they are able to deliver in the postseason.

On the other hand, isn't Brady just supplying Rex with more ammunition to motivate his team (not that he needs any help) - "Hey guys, listen to this. We made Tom Brady cry! Two snacks tonight! Three if you're barefoot!"

I hear you.

During the Giants SB loss, I was more mad at the smear-circus that started on the SB eve. IMO, that distracted a lot of the players and coaches and so I doubt if the team on the field was 100% focused. As you rightly said, so much history there for the taking.

Last playoffs, I was more mad @ our team and coaches for the lack of focus, especially after a bye-week and personal insults at our QB. I wasn't too caught up with how we thrashed them the previous month because the Jets lost their safety a few days back. So, I did expect the playoff game to be tough but never expected us to come out flat and get stunned.

LadyT...enough to get my blood boiling again... Is he playing for them this season? Hope so!

I definitely hope Brady rebounds and wins us at least two more Super Bowls!

I'd never seen Brady the way I saw him when the Jets' D was rolling over him. I remember the sideline shots on TV, the fear in eyes. He wanted to run away and hide. As a Pats fan, it's hard for me to admit this, but the Jets broke him.

They broke him.

Like Bane broke Batman.

Oh well. Let's hope we can rebound this year, and crush those mean nasty Jets, and win the Lombardi!

Go Pats!

I'm certainly not over it either. I still can't believe how poorly the team played after steamrolling the rest of the league. There is just something about Rex Ryan that frustrates Brady and the offense.

Tommie Boy, you aren't the only one who isn't over the loss. I still feel sick when I think about it. This season will be different! We will demolish the Jests like Rex Ryan demolishes a hamburger.

I'm with you brother. Us pat's fans need to stay together!! Don't you feel totally insulted being accused of being a lower than scum, douchebag, knuckle-dragging, dumba$$ Jets fan? How can anyone even root for a pathetic excuse for a football team with the most highly-overrated QB and coach in the history of the NFL? Doesn't it make you want to throw up at the thought of being considered a dip$hit that would call them self a fan of the Green Beans? Rock on Patriot fan for life!!

no offense to our better halves on this board.p..but when he posted he "peed", all I could picture was a chubby cheerleader squating in Sec. 16 of the Meadowlands parking lot behind the green 93 Ford Escort with time worn Pennington and Mangenius decals on the trunk lid

Why do things like this make headlines?

Brady hates the Jets omg!!!!! You expect him to like the teams biggest divisional rival that talks **** every chance they get?

Brady not over a playoff loss to said rival? UH OH BIG NEWS. He shouldn't be over it. Biggest game of the year to date and we lost. Total shocker he's upset!

I'll never get over the fact that so many Jets fans think this is a victory for them.
We lost, and we should have anyways. Well before the 45-3 game. We had nothing on the table as far as a pass rush was concerned, as far as receivers were concerned, and as far as a running game was concerned. Losing Faulk was huge, and our option suffered for that. If we could, I'd like to see how that team would have done bringing Moss back after the Minny fiasco just to see how the Jests would react in that PO Game.
In my mind, the Jests won because they talked us out winning, before the game even started. That's what pisses me off. Bill got his ass handed to him by a loudmouthed, unprofessional wife whoring idiot. If he hasn't learned his lesson by now, then we'll be had again.

Stop giving a rat's fart about how the league looks at us Bill, and unleash the dogs on all of them!
That's the true Patriot way!

Brady's exact words: "They pressure the quarterback, that’s what we have to be prepared for with them. And they always try and find a way to confuse the quarterback...I think we have to learn from that and understand what it takes to beat good teams under tough conditions...”

Coming from a 2X League MVP and 3X SB winner, it's quite a comment to say that effectively the Pats played in that game like they didn't "understand what it takes to beat good teams under tough conditions."

His reference to preparation reminds me of Bob Kraft's remark after the loss, that (paraphrasing a bit because I don't have the exact quote in front of me) "there were a lot of things we didn't have, like a game plan."

I'm as baffled now as I was when I watched that game. The Jets were better prepared and out-coached and outplayed a team that in my mind and gut believe was far superior to them. I know the stock answer is "any given Sunday," but losing like that was and remains tough to swallow.

The simple answer to that is "it happens" BB is a brilliant coach and strategist. But they pay the other guys big money too, and they work just as hard and most of the best have just as many resources. Alexander lost a few battles along the way too. What's great about BB is that he learns from his mistakes.

BTW- last year's team for a lot of reasons reminded me of the 2001 team. Like in 2001 expectations weren't high (relatively). The team seemed like it was a year or two away from seriously contending. They both over achieved and went into the playoffs flawed. Our D was too young and the DL was beat up. Our WR's were a bad match up for the Jets secondary. Relying on 2 rookies to be key for the offense.

The 2001 team got a few breaks that season, and we know the story. This team, must have used up all their breaks during the regular season. In a one and done format, there is no margin for error. With a flawed team there is even less. In that game, we made the dumb throw that was picked, WE dropped the pass in the endzone, We didn't make the correct in game adjustments

IT HAPPENS - You can see what BB has done. He improved the running game. Added not only talent on the defense, but maturity. This is more like 2003 Last year was a good team. This one is a little better. A little deeper A little more talented. All ithat's left is to see if it can become a TEAM

BTW over in Jet land, they are playing this story much differently. Over there its being viewed, not that Brady is still pissed about losing the game. He's having nightmares about facing the Jets

We'll you tell me he looks scared ****less here, rightly so

You guys need to stick together, that's cute. Pathetic Excuse of a football team? I'm sorry 2 straight AFC Championship games and you guys haven't won a playoff game since 2007. Go ahead, hide behind your computer and 'stick togther'
