More BEEF up front! BB is tired of getting pushed around in the playoffs.

Ahh.... a Woodhead reference. Well played, sir. Well played.

All we had to do was hose the green filth off Woodhead when he got here. We'll do the same for Ellis. Squeaky clean, like new.

The DL is going to be big this year, plenty of depth now to rest and move guys around

I am almost speechless.

I guess this is just another case of the Pats picking up the trash that couldn't make it on the Jets.

Hummm, you seem.......disgruntled. LMAO !:rocker: You forget there isn't a dumpster big enough for Sexy Rexy, not that anyone would claim him, well except the land-fill team. Maybe we will find another SUPERBOWL WIN IN THE .......TRASH this year also :singing: You guys should have security at all your bridges this year watching for jumpers. :D Mr. Ellis has come home.

Another big guy on DL. Nice.

Anyone know the details of the deal?

Perfect player to pick up if we're going to be moving back and forth between the 4-3 and 3-4.

I can see a 4-3 lineup of Cunningham of Moore at one end, and then Wilfork and Haynesworth inside, and Ellis at end. He can be a giant strongside 4-3 end at this stage of his career (he used to be a lot lighter) and would really hold the edge.

But he could also play 3-4 end, like for instance a Brace-Wilfork-Ellis setup would work. Gives Haynesworth some rest if you want to sit him on run downs.

Plus, he'll be motivated against the Jets. The karma/Schedenfreude factor here is outstanding. Great move.

If that was the front 4, that would be an amazingly stout line to try and run against. The "weak link" there is Wright and he's no push-over at RDE..

BTW, Ellis plays DE in both the 3-4 AND the 4-3. Found that tidbit to be interesting.

1245 pounds stout...

Show off your NFL knowledge to your friends with this Shaun Ellis trivia, above and beyond him being the player the Jets drafted with the pick they received in exchange for the Pats signing Bill Belichick:

Twitter/Jerry Thornton

Fun fact: Ellis' true name is MeShaunda Pizarrur Ellis. Which is only interesting bc that's what I was going to name my next kid

BB will probably use Ellis like Ted Washington. Just so many snaps per game to keep him fresh in a situational role.

Whats also nice is that Ellis has seen it all and should be a great mentor along with Wilfork for the younger NE D lineman. When Ellis's time is up, hopefully a young guy should be ready to step up.

Yeah, it would be a shame to dump Brace or Deaderick when they could learn a lot from one year with Ellis. At the same time, I'm not sure how long Ellis lasts on this roster... he could be just as vulnerable as Brace and Deaderick.

One man's trash is another's gold.

Book the nursing home quick ... These guy are older than Elvis.

Ha! Jets have the least amount of young talent in the league! Is Ellis as old as your new wideout? Your 1st rounder is going to spend this season getting TRUCKED!

What goes around comes around..

He was the pick that Goodell gave the Jets for the camera gate faux pas.

Ellis just wanted to finally play for a real coach
