If the NFL broadcasts this in regular TV and not HD, then they are making a huge mistake. And everything I've seen in the clips tonight has all been low def regular TV. The fact that its not even being broadcast on Direct Ticket in HD is pathetic.

The HD issue wasn't the only problem they had with the broadcast. First of all, Bryant Gumbel should stick to morning network news - his voice was KILLING me last night. He messed up names, the score and downs consistently. On a big 4th and goal from the 1, Gumbel states that "Denver has 1st and goal" - yeah, way to take the drama out of it.

I don't have HD, but the clarity of the game was worse than all of the preseason games on NFL Network. The channel really struck out on this broadcast, which is sad after months and months and months of promotion. A tight game spoiled by a crappy presentation - glad we don't have any this season.

From what I can tell it was broadcast in HD. It looked pretty good on my TV. Cox is my cable provider.

I don't even have NFL Network-I would have been glad to have been able to SEE the game.

I don't get it. We have NFL channel, but didn't get the game. There was a ticker across the screen saying it wouldn't be available in all markets, but that it was available in local markets. We have metrocast in central NH.

Also have Cox the NFL network showed up in my HD stations on Wed., too bad they could not do the same for CBS and Fox who are in conflict with Cox and do not show the games here in RI in HD.

Except for Gumbel's nasal delivery, I thought the broadcast was great. All sort of camera angles, lots of crowd interaction, and real football talk. This was the kind of broadcast that I hoped for. Gotta love the over the field cameras...and Collinsworth does an excellent job. My HD was perfect.

I have NFL but no game broadcast..I guess there are some that will not pay for the games...sure it will work out BUT very disappointed..

Gumbel and Collinsworth are like a double dose of poison. Just awful.

I thought the game was well done too. The only problem was the yellow line either disappeared for the 2nd quarter, or it was out of shot and they never gave a look to show it. It came back in the 3rd.

What I really liked was there seemed to be fewer commercials, so that when they had a review or an official conference they didn't zoom out. You got to see what was going on and they discussed the options in the booth.

I hate it when you come back from the commercial and they say X happened while you were away. At least one of the games yesterday did that.

Thought Gumbel's voice and commentary was fine. The people who had trouble were the 4 who did the pre-game, and the half-time. Eisen was fine, but the others were so excited they seemed to be screaming and then couldn't speak. But it was a first try, so I expect they will settle down.

I thought it was pretty well done too, but then I don't have HD so I guess I'm a dinosaur.

I liked that there was a lot less babbling in the booth and Gumbel tried to do things the network guys seldom do like note formations pre snap. He did goof on a few calls - one third down in particular he stated LJ got nothing when it was pretty clear from my couch even he got what he needed - a first down.

The game was on in HD. But, not on NFL network, one of the HD extra channels carried it.

The sound was off when seeing close ups of the tallking heads. They tried to adjust it but never got it right on. Seemed to be a second or two delay.

The replays were NOT up to par.

All in all, not too bad for a first game though. They will improve, but that first broadcast was like their preseason tune up. Haven't given up on them yet, and I'll take another game whenever I can get it. The time was good for me.

Denver had a 3rd and like 5 from the 6. They got the yardage but didn't get the touchdown, so it's first down from the one. Collinsworth starts blathering on and on and on about how Shanahan will be "aggressive" and go for it on fourth down. All the while, you can see them moving the chains and the ref signaling first down. It went on for 30 seconds.

I find stuff like that completely unacceptable. Your average viewer should never be more in tune to what's going on on the field than those in the booth. The fact that no producer in the truck got in his ear and let him ramble was the worst of it.

I'm not too happy, I'm one who doesnt get the NFLN.

The NFL listed the Bronco's at Chiefs game as a "national broadcast" which means it was scheduled to be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network.

I watched the Denver game last night and if they want to make it a better broadcast, they must dump Bryant Gumbel immediately. God did he suck as a broadcaster.

Deion Sanders should accompany him. I also prefer to see the ball go through the uprights on FG's and EP's not have it leave the kicker's foot, disappear off the top of the screen and only reappear after its hit the catch net.

It was lousy compared to the experienced networks; but I'm sure they'll get better.

COMCAST Boston & Southern NH carried the game in Hi-Def in INHD2.
Any game that the horse faced bug-eyed psycho bastid coach loses is a good game to me.
