NFL Wild Card: Ravens at Chiefs

Looks like I am 0 for 2 in playoff predictions, so probably best for me to hang it up right now.

These Chiefs are a joke

The Ravens are going to be our toughest challenge towards winning a super bowl. I am glad the stillers will do some tenderizing for us before we meet them in the AFCCG.

Man Am I happy were not playing the ravens!!!

Thank you folk!

Well, it looked like it could be a good match-up for the Chiefs. Honestly, I thought that they would turn in a much better game than this. I wouldn't quit, if I were you. I'd just stop telling people that they're going to eat crow. ;)

We all love Matt Cassel but the kid aint no Tom Brady. Hard to believe there were people on here who seriously suggested sticking with Matt and trading TFB

Although the Chiefs are proving to be frauds, this game proves to me that I am damn glad the Pats are facing the Jets on next Sunday. Let the Ravens and Steelers beat each other up next week.

Tom Brady is the GOAT, so that's kind of a "no sh!t" statement. But Cassel isn't as bad as he showed out there today. That receiving corps is garbage (it's amazing that he managed to throw 27 TD's with them this season) and that O-Line has shown that they can still struggle against the better defenses in the league. Once Baltimore inserted Cody into the game, they completely controlled the LOS. Combine those factors and you get a disaster for Kansas City.

He holds the ball way too long. He is getting killed. When he looks bad, he looks really bad. It is all about what situations you put him in.

Ravens have two qualities that make them a tough matchup for the Patriots -- Flacco doesn't throw picks and they are great in the open field and limiting YAC.

Don't want to overlook the Jets, but I hope the Steelers and Ravens goes six overtimes.

nice test next week for pats ravens...f the jets

He had that same problem here early in the 2008 season, but McDaniels coached him up to make him make quicker decisions. I think Weis may have checked out because of his new job and issues with Halley.

When you're working with the receiving corps that Cassel is working with, you're going to have to hold the ball way too long. That's a recipe for disaster against a team like the Ravens.

Think you've hit the nail on the head. He either looks "lights out" or stinks out the joint. Seems to be struggling to find a middle ground. When his running game was taken away he was forced to pass and it just wasn't happening.

I admire the optimism some people had regarding the Chiefs, but this game went exactly the way I thought it would. "They are who we thought they were." Their season ends with zero wins against an AFC Playoff team.

Now I just gotta figure if I want to be a football fan and see a good matchup in the Packers go down, or be a human and want to see Vick get demolished. Maybe both can happen!

I agree with everyone that the perfect scenario for wildcard weekend occurred for the pats.

The Pats get the JEST having the worst quarterback by far left in the playoffs.

The Ravens and Steelers get to kill eachother.

Cassel's awful. He looked like he didn't belong out there. Completely gun shy and unwilling to throw the ball.

Weis was definitely not all in today

The Chiefs wideouts are so bad that Kevin Curtis took over the WR2 spot here, in the playoffs, after only being in camp since tuesday, and the former WR2, Chambers, was made inactive.

Brady would have gotten his ass kicked if he'd been in there for Cassel.

Atrocious playcalling by Weis. Game completely changed when on a 4th and 6 inches play when Weis calls an east/west wide right pitch and the guy gets stuffed for a 3 yd loss. The Chiefs ran the ball extremely well in the 1st half so naturally they decide to go away from their stength and throw the ball in the 2nd half when they were still in the game. For a young team like the Chielfs it's really important to stick with what you do and do well. Sadly their O coordinator lost his mind in the 2nd half. Charlie Weis, what a dink game.
