Branch and a 3rd for Moss and a 4th. That's an incredibly bad return that's the result of horrible decision making in the offseason.

A third for Moss alone was genius...

Take your pick! :D

Dude, I am not worthy! Thanks for diggin; them all up. That's why your in the starting line up, and I am but a rookie.

This noob's going to bed a bit happier than last night...maybe now of Favre can keep the ball off the ground beat the stinkn' Jets.

No, it wasn't. It was attempting to make the best out of a terrible earlier decision.

What could they have done earlier that would've been a better idea?

Welcome back D.Branch!!!

Just stay healhty and you'll get back into it in no time:rocker:

Should of never left but thats a diffrent topic, gotta feed your kids right? lol don't take millions to feed anyone.:p

Now we are getting back to the Pat's of old, I like this move BB keep up the good work hoodie.

You're thinking of Ty Law, not Branch. He didn't say that. Although Deion does have a kid with special needs, and post-football, without health care insurance, he could need quite a bit of money for his son.

Branch will be fine. A welcome addition. The pick is not that big of an issue.

And for the folks who hate the move (an apparent majority), it could be worse. Our head coach could have just traded a 3rd for Randy Moss to play for a quarterback who can no longer throw the football.

See: The Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre.

Does anybody have:

a) a full report on his injuries/surgeries?
b) knowledge of the contract he will have as a Patriot?

Remind me again who was throwing to Moss and who was throwing to Branch???

Branch just turned 31 and Moss is soon to be 34.

We got Moss for a fourth rounder and traded him for a third - Advantage Pattiots

We traded Branch for a first and got him back for a fourth - Advantage Patriots

I think they did in drafting hernandez, gronk and Price.

We had to many holes to go WR sooner ... Bill figured he'd get the year out of Moss?

We'll be fine IMO.

Nobody hates the move, I don't think there is one post where someone says that. People are simply questioning the cost to acquire a 31 yo receiver with bad knees , a large contract and whose average yards per catch the last two years are 9.7 and 8.6 and whose numbers have declined each of the last five years.

RIght because Reche Caldwell played so great for us dropping that key pass in the AFCCG....would we have won another SB with Branch on the team? I think yes.

hey dude, lets cut the crap. completely irrelevant that drop......

2nd and 6 at IND 6 (1:42) (Shotgun) T.Brady pass incomplete short right to R.Caldwell [R.Mathis].
3rd and 6 at IND 6 (1:35) (Shotgun) T.Brady pass short right to J.Gaffney for 6 yards, TOUCHDOWN [R.Mathis].

Still not sure why people are comparing Moss and Branch...

Might miss a shot at the next Kenyatta Jones, Cedric Cobbs, Jabari Holloway, Dexter Reid, Dan Klecko, the immortal Kareem Brown, Garret Mills, Rohaaaan Davey, Greg Robinson-Randall...

We've actually hit better relative value in 4 than 2 and 3.

I dont mind this trade at all...

We have Ty Warren/ Bodden/ Kaczur/ Faulk Coming Back next year

PLUS

6 Draft picks in the first 3 rounds and 1 in 4th

Potentially, that is 11 additional players coming onto our squad next year...

Do we even have 11 spots?????

I think it is fine - we had an excess of players and picks

If you don't like this move, I can say something about you which will be very true.
1. You are not rational, you most likely suck in Maths.
2. Did very badly in logic causes or don't even know what that is
3. You just complain about just about anything.

Or Shawn Crable!

How dare you laugh! You don't understand how to translate his last name from Old Norse, do you?

It is actually spelled "K-R-A-K-E-N". Just when it seems things couldn't get any worse, Bill will say "release the Kraken", and our Defense will rise up and annihilate whatever unfortunate team they are playing and go on to win the Super Bowl by default since everyone else will be too scared to play.
