All the Patriots cuts merged mega thread

We were down to 7 cuts, so with the additions of Page and White, we are back up to 9 cuts to be made by the "deadline" which has already passed. Correct?

White is a Larry Izzo-type, LB who is just a ST guy. I guess those pining for a veteran ST player to replace Aiken will be happy.

Page had a 2 week roster exemption because he just signed. I am not sure if that comes with him.

Not surprising. He just isn't a wide receiver. He's an outstanding blocker who would pretty much give away what we're trying to do in the passing game when in. Our special teams coverage units are stout when it comes to gunners. He'll move on and be a valuable addition to another team's special teams unit.

In White's last preseason game against the NYJ he made 5 solo tackles, so he prob stood out to BB while watching the Jets film. He did have 35 tackles last year.

Yeah, if anybody has a compilation of who is currently on the roster, that would be most helpful right now. I just got online a few minutes ago so by the time I figure it out there will probably be another half-dozen moves.

Agree - kind of a weird move. A starter that is disgruntled comes to the Pats to be a nickel guy? Moving him to a part-time role will make him even happier?

Not surprising. The guy isn't a receiver and there are too many guys who can contribute on offense or defense and special teams. Can't carry too many special teams specialists when this team has some depth and even starter concerns.

This is the stuff I just don't get, and drives me nuts. I'm no Aiken, Woods, or Alexander fan, but how the hell does anyone know that this guy does us more than what they could have given us on ST

I am fairly certain it is 3 games in which he can't play.. So it would be 3 weeks, not 2.. But that is just symantics. And yes, I would think it comes with him since it had to do with his RFA status..
