Most people with a brain knew Moss still had something left. He was never going to succeed in Oakland with terrible QB's and their piece of sh*t they called an organization.Randy Moss? It all evens out... Plus Burgess came around at the end of last year...
(worst trade of all? .... Doug Gabriel)
From what I can remember, most teams didn't want to trade for him because of his age, the illusion of his play declining because of what he did in Oakland and most importantly, his contract. From what I read, Moss was only going to re-do his deal for the Pats and Brady was the QB he wanted to play for. In fact, there were rumors that he asked to be traded to them in '06.
In the end, the Raiders were in a rock and a hard spot with Moss. He didn't want to play for them and he was only willing to re-do his contract for the Pats. So the Raiders had two choices, pay Moss and watch him dog it on the field as he was accused of in '06 or bite the bullet and trade him.
