When Jenkins got hurt, many believed that we wouldn't be the same defense without Jenkins. As it turned out, we were the number one defense. I think all Jenkins is saying is that it wouldn't necessarily mean the end of the Jets defense because of one man. His absence proved that. Say what you will about Jenkins, when he's not injured, he's par with the best NT's in the league, if not better than most.
However, I admit, Welker would become an even bigger threat minus Revis.
That locker room will implode before the season begins with all the 'look at me'
personalities they have accumulated. Although it will be rich to see Mr Classy
sitting on the sidelines pouting in his dark visor and green and white uni's while
a second year guy gets the majority of carries.
The funny thing is that the Jets were nothing special last year by any stretch of a New Yorker's Rock on the Block vivid imagination.
They did okay for a while in the playoffs, I will grant them that. However nothing in the regular season to write home about. 7-7 and two lay downs. Literally an AVERAGE team. How the defense gets better with addition by subtraction is beyond me...
Only Jets fans could take themselves this seriously, other team's fans tend to understand their strengths and weaknesses, at least to some degree.
This whole Jets thing is a moonshot and a prayer.
i dont see anyone calling for the demise of the Pats because Mankins is holding out.
its different when its a veteren or a rookie who is holding out.
Revis(or Mankins for that matter)knows the system, knows the coaching staff and know how to preper his body for the season.
dont make it out to be more then what it is.
all of us know that Revis will sign a contract extension with the Jets and once he get his money he will be happy and thats what important.
i know you guys hate the Jets(and thats fine, you are who you are) but sometimes that hate cloud your judgment

And what team are you a fan of? Also, it would help your credibility to use spell-check and write in complete sentences.

i am a Jets fan.
english is not my first language so sometimes i make a few mistakes when i write.
i speak it very well though
Revis is not the same level as Mankins, thats true but its just a contract dispute with a player who been enough years in the league so i dont think missing time in tc for him will have the same effect it has on rookies, and like i said we all know that Revis will sign a big contract extension with the Jets soon enough.
Our losing Mankins is like the Jets losing Faneca.i dont see anyone calling for the demise of the Pats because Mankins is holding out.

The Jets were careful to note Sunday morning that cornerback Darrelle Revis' wasn't officially a holdout until 5 PM. Now he is.
The Revis situation is now a holdout:

They'll eventually ante up. But for now, all I have to say is...
EEEEEXCELLENT. :rocker:
I heard of (and saw) that movie for the first time Friday night
