Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Jets
Game Center

And so the 2009 NFL regular season ends. Tonight's simple playoff implications...

Jets win
Wild Card Round: Jets (#5) @ Bengals (#4)

Bengals win
Wild Card Round: Texans (#6) @ Bengals (#3)

I think if I'm the Bengals I'd rather play the Jets in the wildcard round rather than Houston, but that being said, I'd also want the #3 seed to ensure that there is no chance I have to play in Foxbourough.

I'd say look for the Bengals to play for the 3 spot to ensure they won't have any worry of playing the Pats in a snowstorm in NE.

Rex Ryan being interviewd...and i pressed mute. i bet its the same old bravado crap.

The question is whether or not Cincy will even try to win. I doubt it.

They just saw Welker's injury today, a cold, somber reminder about injury risk.

If they lose, they get to play the Jets again next week, and they can see all of the Jets' gameplan without showing any of their own. The Jets also have a rookie quarterback who will surely meltdown in the playoffs.

They already lost pretty big to Houston, at home, earlier this season. That's a bad matchup for them. If they win, they're stuck with Houston.

This may seem trivial, but the gain of 3-4 draft positions is a more probable value than having the homefield advantage in an improbable matchup vs. the Patriots.

Actually it was pretty cool. He gave BB props saying "I know he's a better coach then me, but I got news for everyone, he's better then everyone." I actually hate him a little less after seeing that interview.

I hate to say it, but I gotta pull for a Jets win here.

Houstons gotta be knocked out for Wes.

6 Bengals starters inactive tonight.

RB: Cedric Benson
TE: J.P. Foschi
DT: Domata Peko
DE: Robert Geathers
S: Chris Crocker

Yeah, heard that too and was shocked. That was pretty cool of him.

Why? Wasn't their fault what happened to Wes.

Not that I'd shed any tears over Pollard not making the playoffs.

I really want to be able to watch this game, but the 3 hours of sleep I got last night is calling a audible on me...want to see...Sanchize...fail...

What's Ryan up to? My female intuition is on alert.

Well no, it wasnt their fault.
I was just saying. The number 3 seed isnt so bad either.

I guess i hope for the texans to win, I dont want to see the Jets in the playoffs...

Chad OchoCinco said he'll change his name back to Chad Johnson next week if Revis shuts him down.

Is Olderman off the screen yet?

Are the Bengals going to try now that Pitt is eliminated and they have a shot at the 3 seed? Is Palmer starting?

I felt that way also. I think he was just trying to soften the beating should the Pats and Jets play in the playoffs.

I hope the Bengals win by 50

do we want the 3 seed more than the jets in the playoffs?

Hey, Bart Scott is talking a huge game. I imagine for the next 3 hours he won't be backing it up.

Sorry, I just cannot cheer for the Jets. Let's go Ocho...eliminate the Jeats!
