It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I've heard from several people and one other football board that the Pats signed Brooks as a short term replacement for Mayo. I cannot find it any place online. Is this just a pure rumor or has anybody heard it's a done deal?
The only thing I don't get is that he's an OLB in a 4-3, not a MLB. With that said, I'd rather have him than Seau or Bruschi.
The LB situation was questionable BEFORE the Mayo loss... Guyton calling the plays ? We really cool with that ? I dunno. Good thing we plan on scoring.
I think the Pats need to look into a trade very quickly.
Someone decided to update his wiki page.
Michael, what's the update? I didn't see anything out of the ordinary but I didn't see the page before so I can't tell.
Also, this is the most awkwardly titled thread in weeks. From reading the title one of three things is possible:
1-Brooks signed with the Patriots.
2-Brooks has signed with ESPN.
3-Brooks has not signed.
Just saw his interview on ESPN. Says he definitely wants to play this year and basically confirmed the Pats and Bears interest. Says decision could come Monday. I think if Brooks comes here, he'll be a coverage LB playing mostly on 3rd downs, and would be pretty good at it.
