Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

BB seems to really like Chung and so do these guys.

-Galloway was upset that an article said he was a 4.3, he's faster
-Moss caught 2 thrown balls at once, they had 4 qb's thrwoing at once and one of them messed up and threw to Moss and shouldn't have
-impressed with Lewis and his hips
-impressed with Welker's route running and quickness

supposed to have Thomas and Bodden on in the last hour

overall these guys seemed very impressed at the whole thing, the way the Pats run the practice and the talent

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

Wow I though everybody would be listening. These guys are great.
They are very impressed with Bodden. Kraft mentioned Bodden too.

Greg Lewis just went 75 yards for the score against 2nd defense.

They just mentioned wanting to watch Redd. He's a specimen.

Volmer stuffed Banta-Cain on an edge rush.

It almost feels like I'm there. I wish.

one more hour!

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

Thanks for the updates Larry.

Any idea when Sirius will re-broadcast Kirwan and Ryan at Pats camp? Later tonight possibly?

They will have a pod cast of some of the interviews. I am looking of a replay also working damn...

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

they are talking with Adalius now, very good inerterview
if you do get a chance to listen definitely do it

the replays start at either 11pm or midnight til 8am but I'm not sure what they play for shows

Adalius is the jokester at practice and was really giving it to Big Vince.

I wish they could do a week of this.

Kirwan and Ryan are really pumped about the talent in the secondary

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

Bodden on now. He says Welker is the best in the league with his pivot routes and that Galloway the Gray Beard can still burn it up. He's very excited to be with the Pats. It seems like all the guys they talked with are.

According to the guys they interviewed noone has been undressed in the film room yet. Doesn't seem like they are looking forward to that.

Well the show is almost over and it was excellent. I suggest if there is any way you can get this you shoudl It was a great listen.

Nice to hear some national media guys talk about the Pats for 4 hours.

Of corse there were a couple of knucklehead Raider fans that had to call in and ask about the Raiders but other than that it was all Patriots talk.

Thanks for the updates. They were great.

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

Any other comments of Redd (my binkie this camp)?

Re: OT: NFL on Sirius

For anyone thinking about subscibing to Sirius. I've owned both Serius and XM. This is my experiance:

Sirius equipment isn't nearly as good as XM's

Ex. When useing these radios in your home you normally would tune the satalite reciever and your sterio to the same frequency lets say 90.0. Sirius will broadcast 5-6 feet at most, XM will broadcast 80-90 feet so your sterio/radio doesn't have to be in the same room.

With Sirius i had to put the antena outside on the roof, i had to go out every 3-4 hours and move the antena to get a signal. It got so bad i called the company they said that was as good as it was going to get. On the other hand the XM antena is inside, i havent had to move it in three years, great reception.

I dropped Sirius and stuck with XM

You can get the basic XM package for $12 a month, the same as Sirius and since they've merged add on the NFL, sort of ala cart. In fact i get most Sirius stations on my XM radio.

P.S you can get both on your computer if you subscibe, and buy the satalite reciever, so i guess you could go that route.

No problem. I just joined although I've been reading for months and always ate up any info that was posted out here so I figured some people would like it.

Almost all the local Boston guys(WEEI I sometimes listen online) are more personalities than actual football guys and it's nice to hear some footballheads talk about the Pats. These guys and others on the Sirius channel will actual talk X'S and O's and have taught me a lot about the game. Sometimes though I have no idea what they are saying.

Well as you can tell I'm a huge Sirius and Patriots fan.

Living in N.C. I'm not inundated with everything Patriots so it is a great treat when they do something like this.

just that one mention, they said they saw him and he is a specimen and they wanted to watch what he can do. Definitely looks the part in helmet and pads.

People have to be understand if they don't already, that obviously they aren't going to talk Pats most of the time, they have to cover 32 teams.

I think Sirius's programingis better than XM's, but XM's equipment is better than Sirius's.

one more thing, not that this will mean anything to you but the godfather of Sirius NFL Gil Brandt who has been in the NFL for like 100 years mentioned like 3 months ago to watch out for this guy Redd

Most definitely. Unfortunately it's not Patriots 24/7 but them being a top team they do get a lot of air.

Russ umm shoot I forget his last name but he's on there and he played for the Pats, OLINE out of Princeton. He's pretty good. Oh and they have Jim Miller who QB'd for the Pats and he talks Pats a lot too,

I got XM in 2004 and have loved it, some of the best money I ever spent. A few months ago I got in on the deal to get best of sirius at half price and have been very happy with that. Now with the merger it does not matter what one you get, you get all the same channels anyways if you get the "best of" the other one. Sirius does have the NFL stuff though so if that is what you are looking at then get that one, but XM does have MLB

I have had it since '04 as well. Love it. Couldn't get by without it because when you're out in the middle of nowhere there isn't much talk radio and being a fan of talk radio I had to get Sirius.

Not sure that best of package plays the NFL games but just gives you the NFL channel. I know it doesn't with the baseball which I would get in a second because I would love to sit out in the backyard and listen to the radio broadcast of the Sox. I watch them on DirectTv with the package.

I've gone through my battles with the equipment and antenna but got it figured out now.

The Best Of package does not allow for live broadcasts. That is being negotiated.

No offense to our new member but not much point in subscribing to and listening to Sirius if you miss this in your summation: (from the all Vick thread)

Kraft closes door on Vick
Posted by Mike Florio on August 1, 2009 3:37 PM ET

As if there was any doubt regarding the Patriots' lack of interest in quarterback Mike Vick, owner Bob Kraft has plainly stated that Vick won't be joining the team. Several readers tell us (and Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe tweets) that Kraft told Sirius NFL Radio that it's not happening. The quote (possibly paraphrased) is as follows:

"I feel we have the best player at the position in the world. Why would I want to sign a player that takes him off the field for a play?"

Though Kraft's words don't take into account the possibility of another season-ending injury, multiple ACLs would have to tear before Vick would hit the Pats' radar screen.

Belichick stuff was really interesting I am getting this from Reiss.

The hosts asked BB to explain why he gave such a complicated answer to the Vick thing and why he never just gives a yes or no.

and his answer made sense basically saying because things are fluid and its not that simple. One day you may not be interested and the next you might.

here is the real interesting part

Pat (Kirwan), you've been on that side of it before and you know how that can change. We were actually in a situation very recently, within the last 48 hours, where as a group staff we were talking about a particular player and we kind of collectively said, 'You know, we really don't think we have much interest in that player at this time.' And by the next morning we were talking to that player and his agent about trying to get something done.

in the last 48 hours really so what has do we know has changed in 48 hours....the few things that come to mind are cleo lemon and Burgess hold out. Granted it could be something we have no clue of but if it is one of the two than he either isnt happy with his QBs or maybe it is Crable starting on the pup. again I am just speculating on what could have changed in 48 hours.

What do you guys think the change could be.

yeah you're right I just canceled

that's sarcasm

Are you really that interested in Vick? That was the last thing I was interested in hearing them talk about.
I didn't miss anything I'm just not that interested in what the sportsarazzi have to say about deals that are being done.

I got sucked into the whole Peppers thing and that will be the last time.
