Pats have a long way to go on defense. I can't remember the last time their 3 man rush ever got to a QB as often as Pittsburgh's did.

Yeah, you're right. A lot of pieces are needed. Bring on the draft!

Steelers didn't deserve to win the game.

Harrison can throw 2 punches and not get thrown out? arm going forward and the referees don't even look at it. PLUs the 15 yard penalty arizona would of had it 1st and 10 at the Steelers 29 with 12 seconds to play. One maybe two plays.

Does Santonio now follow in Burress' footsteps and go off the reservation mentally

Terry MacAulley was going to do everything in his power to guarantee the 6th Title for the black and gold. Nice job Terry !!!!!!!!!! Can some creative person out there please photo shop Terry MacAulley weating a Steeler cap with the T-Towel in his right hand and send this to me ? I'm handy with Fireworks, not photoshop.

AZ fans will be screaming about that all summer. It should have been reviewed.

Definitely.... no matter what the final outcome might have been, it needed to be reviewed.

They couldn't dampen the celebration right after!

They have every right to scream about the officiating, especially that last review. Totally bogus calls up and down the board, and no review there? It's just disgusting. My interest in the NFL continues to wane because of how terribly run and tainted the league has been since Goodell came in. I'll always be a Pats fan, but following the rest of the league is quickly becoming a chore because of all the problems. I can't wait until Goodell bungles the labor negotiations and the league has a lockout, the crap will hit the fan then.

Peyton Manning - 1

Byron Leftwich - 1

Trent Dilfer
2000 Playoffs: 3 TDs / 1 INT / 83.7 Rating

Peyton Manning
2006 Playoffs: 3 TDs / 7 INTs / 70.5 Rating

Sorry.....today the Cardinals were the better team. They got screwed the first 3 quarters by calls that weren't made moreso than calls that were made. I specifically refer to some blatant holding on the Squeeler line that wasn't called. Too bad really.

I consider the Squeelers last 2 SB wins tainted.

Yeah well, Warner did throw that one touchdown too many to the other team.

Your right it needed to be reviewed, but if the all holy Kurt Warner was great this game would have been won by Arizona.. Kurt Warner= Craig Morton... Sorry But the Squeelers are not that good, they cant get by the Pats.. .

Speaking of which, do you think this makes Warner more or less likely to come back in 2009?

Absolutely absurd that it wasn't looked at again. Was it a fumble? Yeah, probably. It looked like the ball was out of his hand before his arm came forward.

But you can't take 2 minutes to look at it again, with your referee, and make it official? Instead, you get Al Michaels curiously telling millions of people that upstairs "confirmed" it was a fumble. So when plays get reviewed on the field, is it ONLY the replay official that has any input? Obviously not, as if that were true, there'd be no need for a booth on field for the ref.

There's just something bizarre about this ending. I hate it, immensely.

the defensive play call at the end hurt them. Holmes missed a TD catch to the outside corner.. They tried it again on the other side and he caught it...They should have learned to play a defender on the outside....I'm just mad.

I don't think it would have mattered. The chances of them winning the game with 15 second left on the clock was pretty slim at that point. They should have taken care of the ball at the half and they should have closed out the game after they went up. They didn't and that's what will haunt them the entire off season.

In Bill I Trust, but...
The best 3-4 in football has and always will be in Pittsburgh. **** Lebau is never referred to as a 'genius'...but year in and out he puts a great product on the field. The more knowledgeable members of this board always say we can compare our 34 to theirs due to different philosophies but I'll have whatever they are having.
Congrats Steelers. Great game to cap a great season. They played the toughest schedule and came away healthy and hungry enough to make a playoff run. Enjoy it...because it's all Pats next year!

They'd have had the 15 yard penalty marked off against the Steelers. They'dh have had time for 3 plays to the endzone or one to the field and one to the endzone.
