The Cardinals played too poorly in the first quarter, and at the end of the first half to complain too much, but they really got jobbed for 3 and a half quarters. That Roughing the Passer was Ben Dreith bad, and they were the victim of a number of exceedingly ticky-tack calls. Sure, they got calls at the end, but they were blatantly the RIGHT calls. And I don't care what is "confirmed upstairs," you get your referee over, and you talk about that last play, because it IS the friggin Super Bowl, and you make CERTAIN that the right call was made.

Whatever, all I really wanted was a good Super Bowl, and for a half, I got one. The good news is that the 2008 season is officially over. Is it draft time yet??

Pats have a long way to go on defense. I can't remember the last time their 3 man rush ever got to a QB as often as Pittsburgh's did.

He can't catch either. He had two chances for interceptions in the first half and missed both of them. The Cardinals secondary is weak (Roderick Hood and Aaron Francisco are both pretty bad), but he looked very poor for a guy who is supposedly a superstar athlete.

DRC shutdown both Steve Smith and Roddy White and literally allowed them to focus on the Carolina ground game to help with both of those games. His speed, height and ability are incredible. He's so raw that it isn't funny. For a rook, he had a tremendous season. He was beaten by a great WR in Holmes and it cost him and the Cards, that doesn't take anything away from the greatness that awaits the man.

Hmm.

Roethlisberger is just as overrated and as much of a meathead as those two, don't kid yourself. A horrendous Superbowl effort followed by a mediocre one with one good drive at the end, and now he'll be lauded like Elway for it. Friggin' joke is what it is.

He scored 7 points for the Steelers that turned out to be the differance, not to mention that there was no excuse for them to let that TD happen, looked like a few of them gave out thinking the flag on that play was on the steelers.

Outlandish comments make for interesting reading. It's always wonderful reading comments straight after games.

Ben Ro may be overrated but he has 2 rings and is mr clutch down the stretch. Kurt Warner is a good QB on the tail end of his career. Apart from the INT, he did everything you could have asked of him.

The Cards secondary and Gandy hurt them. Stupid holding penalties and blown coverages leading to big gains on the last Steelers drive was what won the game.

Bring on season 2009. Pats for SB44.

Sorry.....today the Cardinals were the better team. They got screwed the first 3 quarters by calls that weren't made moreso than calls that were made. I specifically refer to some blatant holding on the Squeeler line that wasn't called. Too bad really.

I consider the Squeelers last 2 SB wins tainted.
