Hopefully we're still there at the end of the year. :D

For most AFC teams the midpoint of the season is not till after next weekend since most teams have not yet played 8 games - So things may change this week

I think mentioning the Bengals and Chiefs is a bit of a waste of typing though - Both are all but eliminated

bills in colts out, when was the last time that happened

Ravens were in it 2 years ago and should have beaten the Colts

Don't let his rookie status fool you,Flacco has been pretty good at times - Only Ryan has done better of the 08 QB Class

It's interesting that through week 8 the Bills have only played a single divisional game.

I personally have not given up hope on the #2 seed. If NE sweeps the Bills and beats Pitt, they'll have the inside track. And frankly, I haven't been buying the Pitt hype all year. Great D, but that OL is their undoing.

To put it realistically, 11-5 with a win over Pitt (and assuming AFCE title) will get the Pats #2 seed this year.

i would like the number 2 seed...

i would also keep the history alive

It means absolutely nothing.
The eventual SB winner may not even be on that list. FAWK

Well, considering the entire NFC is not on that list, its possible!

:D

I wouldn't be surprised to see Miami make a run as the Bills pull up lame down the stretch. Where we fit in is anybodies guess as we seem to be inconsistent week to week. The miami game was NO fluke and I wouldn't be surprised to see them handle us as well down the road. Their O/D lines seem to be top tier on both sides. I was at the Miami game and Long absolutely dominated 93. Pennington isn't going to make mistakes and he wont hit homeruns, but whats new there? Keep your eye on the fish...

indy will prob still get in but i hope not

Doubtful. I give them 3 strikes, as in 3 more losses and the season is over. Do you really think a team could make it at 9-7 this year? Given the league is as seemingly volatile as ever, but it doesn't seem all that likely to me. Assuming we squeak out the W this week, and assuming the dolts drop the 2nd Tenn game...they'd be all but out at that point, mix in another loss along the way and I vote they're done.

Very good chance Colts win the second match up with Tenn. It is the last game of the season. And if Tenn has clinched and Colts need a win for a wild card Tenn will probably rest starters, Tenn owes the Colts one from last year.

Hadn't looked into their schedule, but good point. If not, I hope Fischer learned something from the raving leprechaun last year (Coughlin).

The Colt's schedule sure isn't easy to finish out the year. They have 3 likely wins with Detroit, Cincy, & Houston, but the rest of their games could go either way.

I'm still trying to get a grasp on if this Pats team is a real playoff team or not. We've only beaten 1, albeit hobbled, playoff contending team so far imho.

Tennessee can have the #1 seed. They remind me of that top team that loses the first game of the playoffs after a bye.

One of the top seeds always goes down, and this year it's going to be Tennessee.

Sure, their D is tough, but Kerry Collins is going to let you down eventually.

Everyone is talking about the conference playoff positioning...

Hey, we're still in a dogfight for the division!

A week from today, if we lose to the Colts and the Jets beat the Bills and the Dolphins beat the Broncos, the standings could look like:

New England Patriots 5 -3
Buffalo Bills 5-3
New York Jets 5-3
Miami Dolphins 4-4
