Default Ian: Should We Have A Fantasy Board?

Each year there seems to be interest in fantasy leagues, fantasy ratings, fantasy drafts and fantasy results. Perhaps there should be a separate board as there is for the draft.

So, I can expect to stop ready about the fanstasy ratings of Moss on the main board?

But the problem is... no one goes to the other board... So it is nice to have active conversations here, although I understand it's not the pure focus of this main board.

There is always the option of not opening the thread. Just a thought.

I added that before last year - so if you see any threads just move them there. And for anyone reading this - if you want to talk Fantasy Football that's cool - just do it in that other forum please

Why not have the moderators move fantasy threads to the fantasy board after they are started. If that is where the threads are, that is where people will go. Works with the political thread and early draft threads.

That’s what we always do, and I think the last nine years we’ve put a pretty competitive team out there on the field every year. I think that’s how you do it – you get good football players. Sometimes they are not always at the No. 1 position, but I don’t think you pass up good football players to get the guys who aren’t as good just because they’re at a position that somebody feels you need.”

Yes, true. It is always possible not to have subforums and just put all the threads into one giant forum, but don't you think it is easier to have subforums so everyone doesn't have to look at each thread to see if they want it or not? You really can't tell by thread titles, which are often things like, "What do you think of this idea?" "How about this trade" "The plan this year" and stuff like that which could fit quite a range of stuff.

That's why there are mods though. To move them. Eventually a mod would have seen it and put it where it belongs.

Every now and then someone messes up and posts a thread in the wrong forum. Is that reason enough to start a thread complaining about "having to read" them?

Why not just pm a mod? If you are so anti-clutter, what's the point in adding to it?
