Oh man, that is horrible. My sincerest condolences and my thoughts are with your family. If there is anything that we as a community can do please let me know how I can be involved.

Beautifully written Eulogy Dave, you are a braver man than I to be able to deliver it. Stay well and give the kids an extra hug for us.

Dave/PJ:
In a eulogy full of beautiful words and phrases, those are the words that hit me the hardest. I've tried four times to write a "next sentence" to follow the one above and none of them have done justice to what you have experienced. So, I turn to words that are timeless: הַמָּקוֹם יְנַחֵם אֶתְכֶם בְּתוֹך שְׁאַר אֲבֵלֵי צִיּוֹן וִירוּשָלַיִם

Oh man, more tears this morning. I just got back from the funeral of my son's best friend, and young man I've known for 20 years and had a beer with not two weeks ago. Dan died in his sleep at the age of 29, for no apparent reason. My son and he were in a group of a dozen guys who've been very tight since high school. Dan was the second one of them to pass in the last three months.
And then to read this. So sorry, and I'm glad you shared it. |

Dave,
Thinking of you and your kids today on Mothers Day. It must be so hard, and again you have my thoughts, prayers and sympathy. Be strong, my friend. Tim

I just read the eulogy. Amazing, painful, and beautiful.
