Dude can support whoever he wishes to. So long as he is for real and isn't a glory hunter then its cool - and shows over time that's his team, then fine.

But still a really strange decision to make.

Blader.

Don Mattingly was my favorite player growing up. That goes back to when they used to show the games on WPIX, and Phil Rizzutto was the Yanks Remdog. This was before remote controls for the TV, so we had that brown box on top of the tv set, with the channel buttons. No channel surfing back then.

I've explained it before in here, but the short version is that I'm 100% greasah (Italian), my entire family is off the boat, most came over and lived in the north end, the NE had tons of Yankee fans because of the Italian lineage (namely Joe Dimaggio among others), and a cousin brain washed me before I even knew what baseball was. So when I finally followed baseball, I rooted for my favorite ball player (Don Mattingly), and the Yankees. End of story. There are a lot of Boston born Yankees fans. Personally, I think it makes me a more objective sports fan overall.

Yep, it sure is; so what are your thoughts so far?

Please feel free to chime in, I miss the Yankee talk we used to have up here in Boston every Saturday from 10 till 2 on WEEI when all the douchebag Yankee fans used to call in and bust balls about their 26 World Championships, us not winning one since 1918, 86 year old curse, etc, etc.

Funny; none of them call anymore after the events of the past few years and the show got cancelled.

Oh and nice picture too by the way; who is that, Gary Busey?

He's just like his old man; all hat, no cattle, he's got a big mouth and that's about it.

His Bear defense of 1985 was very good, spectacular really until teams figured out how to beat that 46 defense, then it was all over. One Super Bowl is all she wrote.

Thanks for calling that timeout in 2007 to keep our perfect season going too by the way you fat slob.

You Jets fans murder me; Parcells is here, Super Bowl here we come, we stole Mangini the boy genius from BB, Super Bowl here we come, we got Brett Favre, Super Bowl here we come.

Notice a pattern here?

I'll give fatso two years, maybe three before he's out on his azz looking for work..........

I grew up a Cleveland Browns fan ( best friends influence ) and a Yankees Fan ( grandfather used to take me to NY and we caught a few games, days of Mantle Maris) and since then have found the way, truth and light aka Sox & Pats, and my life has changed significantly for the better..

My uncle tried to brainwash me too on the Yankees; "go with a winner kid, the Sox will never win a World Series in your lifetime". A lot of New Englanders got brainwashed by their relatives; time to leave the past (those 26 titles with the dust all over them) and come into the new era of baseball, where the Red Sox are the Yankees and the Yankees are the Red Sox.............up is down, black is white, it's all good.

Red Sox are 8-0 vs the Yankees this year so far. How GREAT is that? LOL. Eat your hat out yankees, you spend like 1/4 billion dollars this offseason alone on upgrades and you still get OWNED by the Sox!!
