2016 Patriots Season:

The bad news is that Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts will again be calling the Pats game. If you have surround sound set up as part of your entertainment system just mute (or unplug) the front center speaker. Voila! No more insane commentary from the Bird and the Beard.

In this episode we looked back at the Patriots victory against the Broncos. Later on, we previewed the upcoming game for the Pats against the Jets.

With the victory, the Pats clinched the AFC East for a record 8th straight year and for the 14th time in the past 16 years.

The Patriots defense put together a very impressive performance holding Denver to just three points in their own stadium and smothered QB Trevor Siemian

On the other hand the mood in Denver is somber, as would be expected. As is the norm in every city, fans and writers focus blame on the home team for losing while neglecting to credit the opponent for a job well done. Here are a few reactions from both Denver and some national media sites in the aftermath of the Patriot defense shutting down Denver en route to their 12th win of the season.

The Broncos had won each of the last three times the Patriots played in Denver. In a subtle reference to that stat the TB Times noted that the “Pats get back on the horse”. The picture has Dion Lewis (18 rushes for 95 yards, 5.3 yards per carry) holding the reigns of a none too happy horse.
