Here’s what Patriots running back Lan Larison had to say during his press conference on July 26, 2025:

On his first training camp and what that’s been like:

“It’s been great, man. Just looking up to the vets, learn how to be a pro, get your daily routine down, and then just how to compete at a really high level. It’s been a fun time.”

On what some of the best things he’s learned from the veterans so far:

“Mostly how to take care of your body. Mondre [Rhamondre Stevenson], he’s a good role model to look after in the RB room. AG [Antonio Gibson], Terrell [Jennings], they all just help you out wherever they can and see fit.”

On what stands out to him about Josh’s offense for running backs:

“I think Coach, he’s a mastermind back there, and he knows how to run the offense, get the running back involved. That’s special. I’m glad that’s a thing, playing running back. That’s about it.”

On if there’s any past running back like James White, Shane Vereen, Kevin Faulk, or anybody in particular he’s enjoyed watching:

“No, man. Just trying to work out here every day, compete, fill in wherever I can, and do my job.”

On the fact that up to the pre-draft, there was a lot made about him doing rodeo and how long he did that for:

“Man, I grew up on a horse, rodeoing, doing all that stuff. So it was a huge part of my life. My siblings and everyone still rodeo today.”

Oh, really?

“Yeah. Big into the rodeo.”

On if he stopped doing that to focus on football, or in the offseason, does he still do it:

“No, I haven’t been rodeoing since senior high school.”

On if he misses it:

“Yeah. I mean, mostly just miss the bond with the horse and stuff like that, just being out there. It’s like a big dog.”

On if there’s anything shocking about coming to New England:

“Red Sox game, that was fun. And humidity, I’m from the Northwest, so I don’t get a lot of humidity. ”

On the fact Jack Gibbens caught him from behind on the check down and if he can walk us through how that play developed:

“I probably should have just broke away from man and not sat down and let him just be on my back right there.”
