Patriots Broadcaster Bob Socci Named MA Sportscaster Of The Year
David Butler II - USA TODAY Sports
Over the past nine seasons, radio broadcaster Bob Socci has been “the voice of the Patriots” on 985 The Sports Hub airwaves, calling every regular and postseason game in the New England market since taking over for Patriots Hall of Famer Gil Santos in 2013.
Since joining 985 The Sports Hub, Socci alongside color commentator Scott Zolak, have been on the call for the last three Patriots Super Bowl titles and four appearances.
On Tuesday, Socci was honored for his work in the broadcast booth and was named the Massachusetts Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA).
In addition to Socci’s honor, the NSMA awards sportscasters and writers across all 50 states along with a hall of fame induction each year.
The 2021 NSMA Hall of Fame Class includes Stuart Scott, Hubie Brown, Curry Kirkpatrick, and Jackie MacMullan.
A special congratulations to Bob on the well-deserved honor!
