New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon found out on Wednesday that he successfully appealed his $10,300 fine for unnecessary roughness following a scrum in the Miami Dolphins bench area after a third-quarter punt in week one.
According to a report by Tom Pelissaro of NFL Network, the full fine was rescinded but no specific reasoning was provided.
Over Twitter following the news, Judon celebrated his victorious appeal by offering to share some of the money he was allowed to keep with his fans.
“Who trying to go to dinner? I got a little money to spend”, Judon tweeted.

The act of goodwill is just one of the many great things Judon has done as a Patriot in 2021. Through eight games he’s a leader for NFL Defensive Player of the Year with 32 tackles, eight sacks, and 14 quarterback hits.
