The New England Patriots entered week two of the preseason in a game that was expected to feature a large amount of snaps for many of the potential starters as the august slate of tune ups wind down.

Quarterbacks Cam Newton and Mac Jones each performed at a high level while the defense put together a lock down showing of their own.

Check out how it all unfolded with the best social media sights and sounds against the Philadelphia Eagles below.

Not even two minutes into the game, the Patriots defense forced a turnover on former foe Joe Flacco.

Former Eagle Jalen Mills and Matt Judon teamed up to put the Patriots offense in the red zone following a forced fumble.

A few plays later, running back Damien Harris put the Patriots on the board.

Meanwhile, Cam Newton spread the field early.

Just before the end of the first quarter, Newton found Meyers to put the Patriots up 13-0 after one.

In the second quarter, in what would become a recurring theme on this night, the Patriots running backs began bulling the Eagles front seven on defense.

Check out these two plays by Sony Michel and Damien Harris.

A Rhamondre Stevenson touchdown just before the half gave the Patriots a commanding 19-0 lead.

As the second half opened, a fourth Patriots running back showed off his own moves.

JJ Taylor later became the third Patriots running back to find the end zone on this night.

With two minutes to go in the third quarter, Rhamondre Steven scored for the second time.

In the fourth quarter, Quinn Nordin tacked on a field goal and the Patriots left the city of brotherly love as winners by a final score of 35-0.

The Patriots will now have some time off before they head to New Jersey for joint practices and a preseason finale against the New York Giants on August 29th.
