As the longest tenured New England Patriot, special teams captain Matthew Slater has gotten accustomed to the unpredictable New England winters.
Over his 12 year career, Slater has participated in some of the most memorable Gillette Stadium snow games, and he talked about a few of them on the sidelines during Sunday’s win over the New York Jets as more snow began to fall.
In the latest episode of ‘Inside The NFL’, Slater’s storytelling was caught by NFL Films mic’s, but not everyone on the team was happy to hear them.
Cornerback Jason McCourty, who was a member of the Tennessee Titans in 2009, wanted no part of Slater’s reminiscing of the Patriots 59-0 beatdown in the snow that season. McCourty jokingly called out Slater for mentioning that specific game over Twitter.
