Former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount formally announced his retirement from the NFL this weekend.

In a post to his Instagram Saturday, Blount shared a highlight video of his career along with a personal message to three of the teams he played for.

Blount’s message to the Patriots is as followed.

“Bill (Belichick) and RK (Robert Kraft), I can’t thank y’all enough! New England, I love you! PatsNation, I love you! 2 Super Bowl rings and a chance to play with the coldest QB to ever play the game in TB! I made the best of friends, a lot turned into family, and many doors were opened for me. Thank y’all so much!!”

Check out Blount’s full announcement below.

During his Patriots tenure, Blount logged 677 carries for 2,917 yards and 34 touchdowns over 49 games. In 2016, Blount set a Patriots franchise record with 18 rushing touchdowns to lead the NFL that season, a first by any Patriot ever.

Blount finishes his NFL career with 6,306 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns in 132 games, winning three Super Bowls along the way, two with the Patriots, and one with the Philadelphia Eagles.  In eleven playoff games, Blount totaled 600 yards and eleven touchdowns.
