During the month of October, all 32 NFL teams are participating in the annual Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative as part of a longtime partnership with the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer.

“For the last 12 years, the American Cancer Society and the NFL have together been focused on providing resources and assistance to help ensure that more Americans have access to critical cancer screenings,” said Gary Reedy, Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society. “Having the support and partnership of the NFL and its fans through Crucial Catch will undoubtedly lead to more lives saved.”

On Saturday, the New England Patriots tweeted out video featuring Stephon Gilmore surprising a family of Pats fans who had just recently lost a loved one to cancer.

Gilmore hopped in on a video call to share a message of support for the family along with a few surprise gifts.

Check out the story of Pats fan Amanda and her memorable chat with Gilmore in the link below.
