The Patriots might know how to overcome a 28-3 deficit and win a football game, but the Los Angeles Rams couldn’t quite pull off one of their own after falling to the Bills on Sunday at Orchard Park.

Sean McVay’s team got behind on the road in Buffalo after not being able to do much right, with the Rams missing a field goal and then committing a turnover on their first two drives as Buffalo got out in front 14-0 and took control of the game.

The Rams managed to answer with a field goal, but the Bills marched from their own 25-yard line down to the Rams 3, which saw quarterback Josh Allen hit Tyler Kroft for the 3yd touchdown to go up 21-3.

Buffalo opened the second half with a touchdown on their first possession, increasing their lead to 28-3, a score that every Patriots fan here in New England is all too familiar with.

But Los Angeles didn’t give up and it looked like they were going to pull off the upset.  They came roaring back, scoring 29 second half points and actually took the lead at 32-28 with 4:30 left to play in the game.

However, Buffalo showed the first signs of being a contender when they came up with points when they needed them most.  They answered with an 11-play, 75-yard drive that ended with another 3-yard touchdown to Kroft, which put them back on top for good at 35-32.

As a result, it improved them to 3-0 on the season and they remain in control of the AFC East with New England right behind them at 2-1.

It will be a while before the Patriots and Bills meet.  Their first battle won’t happen until November 1st, when New England travels to Buffalo for their first divisional showdown of the season.
