Cam Newton’s very active Instagram account was back on at it Wednesday with a new workout photograph.

Newton shared the photo with a quote by Muhammad Ali that said “I hated every minute of training, but I said don’t quit! Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion” in his usual social media font.

Earlier this week, Newton revealed some of his thoughts on the potential of taking over for Tom Brady and playing for Bill Belichick in New England.

Speaking with Odell Beckham jr., Victor Cruz, and Todd Gurley, Newton referred to replacing Brady as “the elephant in the room”.

“You know who [you’re] coming after? I’m like, yeah, great. What he was, what he is, is great, needs no even talking about it,” Newton said on “The Bigger Picture”. “But one thing about it, though: Coach [Josh] McDaniels, you’re able to call some stuff that you ain’t ever been able to call now.

“You’re getting a dog. You’re getting one of these ticked-off dogs too. And I’m looking at the schedule and I’m like, ‘Who we’re playing? That team passed on me! OK, that team passed on me. They could’ve came and got me.'”

Presently Newton remains atop the QB depth chart with Jarrett Stidham heading into camp, bu if he is to win the battle, he’s going to need every minute of training and that appears well underway.
