ICYMI: Asante Samuel Claims He Taught Bill Belichick How To Coach Cornerbacks Better

Former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel was back speaking his mind on Twitter this week with some rather head turning comments about his relationship with Bill Belichick.
A fourth round draft pick by Belichick in 2003, Samuel spent his first five seasons in New England, winning two Super Bowls along with a Pro Bowl selection in 2007.
On Tuesday, Samuel appeared to indicate he deserves more credit for Belichick’s success with cornerbacks.

Despite the claims, Samuel provided no specifics of what he taught Belichick.
CLNS Media’s Evan Lazar later pointed out Samuel’s “T-Step” technique as one potential impact on Belichick.

The “T-Step” technique led to Samuel’s reputation as “Mr. Pick Six” as he finished his career with six of them, three as a Patriot.
In 75 regular season games, Samuel logged 22 of his career total 51 interceptions in New England.
