On Tuesday, three members of the New England Patriots were selected for the 2020 Pro Bowl.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore, linebacker Donta Hightower and special teams captain Matthew Slater are the Patriots representatives on the AFC team.

Gilmore earns his third consecutive Pro Bowl nod after starting all 14 games at cornerback this season and is tied for the NFL lead with a career-high six interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, and 18 passes defensed. He has also registered 44 tackles and one fumble recovery. His career year has him in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation.

For the first time since 2016, Dont’a Hightower adds his second Pro Bowl selection after logging 61 tackles, four sacks, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery he returned for a touchdown through 14 games.

Lastly, special teams captain Matthew Slater was selected to his eighth career Pro Bowl, breaking a record set by Steve Tasker for most special teams Pro Bowl honors in NFL history.  Slater has led the Patriots in special teams tackles for six of his 11 seasons and has a team-leading 10 special teams tackles so far this season.

Following the news, a few other Patriots with Pro-Bowl worthy numbers voiced their reactions to being snubbed over Twitter.

Safety Terrence Brooks also voiced his thoughts on teammates he felt were deserving of a selection.
