PHOTOS: The Patriots Share Their Customized Cleats For Annual NFL Initiative

On Sunday, players across the NFL will be wearing special customized cleats as part of the annual “My Cause, My Cleats” initiative.

Debuting in 2016, the initiative is a culmination of collaborative work between the NFL and players across the league through which more than 800 players plan to raise awareness for individual philanthropic organizations and movements by wearing unique cleats.

A few Patriots shared their personal cleat designs over social media this week.

I deeply believe in education and I deeply believe in the youth in our society. We should be setting kids up for success which is why this year for the @nfl #MCMC I'm working with @collegebounddot to support neighborhood mentors who can help provide the educational resources and advancement opportunities that remove kids from a cycle of violence helps them to succeed. Gang-related individuals matriculate to college less than 1% each year. The matriculation rate at Boston Uncornered exceeds 70%. The students are responsible for their choices but not for their options so let's give them a fighting chance. #mycausemycleats
