After sitting out all of 2017 recovering from surgery and missing the first four games of 2018 with a suspension, life appears to be back to normal for New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman.
On Sunday night against the Chiefs, Edelman recorded his first touchdown reception since the 2016 AFC Championship game on January 22nd, 2017.
So far in two games back, Edelman has hauled in 11 catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Tom Brady has targeted him 16 times.
On Instagram Tuesday, Edelman shared a photo of himself celebrating with teammate Josh Gordon in a “Teammate Tuesday” posting.
Edelman has been very complementary of Gordon since he arrived in Foxborough, telling ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss last Friday, “Dude works hard. Great teammate. I really think he can be a really big piece of us.”
“It’s exciting to be around him. He loves football, you can tell. He knows his stuff. It’s getting more and more fun the more he knows.”
