Although six months have passed since the final episode of Tom vs Time, it appears Tom Brady and director Gotham Chopra have a little more to share.
On Facebook Tuesday, Chopra released a teaser trailer on the documentaries Facebook page for a new epilogue that will provide some additional answers to the dramatic final interview in the last episode.
According to an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Jenny Vrentas, Chopra had the following to say about the end of episode six that left him and his viewers wanting more.
“The sound guy, me, the [director of photography]—everyone was like, Oh, wow, that’s pretty dramatic,” said Chopra. “And then, like a month later, he’s having a good time; he’s happy, and he’s excited. I think he had done some postseason meetings with his coaches and the owner, and he was starting to get pumped for the new season.”
Chopra felt a cinematic epilogue was the best way to end the series while also stating “no serious thought was given to making a second season of Tom vs. Time.”
As for the potential of Brady announcing his retirement during the epilogue, Chopra provided some relaxation for fans.
“I don’t want to give it away, but I can at least sort of remove the suspense…It’s not like he ever says this is his last season, or anything like that.”
The full, five-minute, video will be shared on the Tom vs Time Facebook page at 12pm on Wednesday.
As a lead up, a special watch party of Episode Two of Tom vs Time will also occur on Brady’s official Facebook at 8pm Tuesday.
