Tom Brady Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

For the second straight week in 2017, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the teams 36-33 victory over the Houston Texans last Sunday.
The honor marks the 29th time Brady has earned a Player of the Week award and is the fourth time it has happened in back-to-back weeks during a season. Brady accomplished repeat honors in 2007 (Weeks 6 and 7), 2010 (Weeks 12 and 13) and in 2011 (Weeks 1 and 2).
On Sunday Brady completed 25-of-35 passes for 378 yards and 5 touchdowns to no interceptions. For the 52nd time in his career, Brady led the Patriots to a win following a fourth quarter deficit and it was the eighth time Brady threw a final minute touchdown pass leading to a win.
Down 33-28 with 2:24 to play in the game, Brady completed two third down plays which helped set up Brandin Cooks 25 yard touchdown pass to complete the comeback victory.
