Patriots Slater Suffers Injury in Win Over 49ers

🕑 Read Time: 1 minutes

While the Patriots are likely happy to be on the right end of their 30-17 win over San Francisco, unfortunately it came at a cost.

Special teams captain Matthew Slater left Sunday’s game with an apparent foot injury and despite efforts to tape him back up after he came out, he wasn’t able to return and was downgraded to “Out” for the remainder of the contest.

According to reports after the game, he was spotted in a walking boot, which is obviously concerning.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick declined to give any updates after the game on Slater’s status, which as everyone knows, is normal.  But for now it appears that his status will be in question heading into next Sunday’s showdown when New England travels to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets.
