NFL Week 11 Television Coverage and Odds

NFL Week 11 features three games between two teams with winning records. The first of those matchups may include a team you would not have thought of. The Baltimore Ravens are now the only AFC North team with a winning record, and travel to Dallas to face the red-hot Cowboys early on CBS. After that CBS will feature Philadelphia at Seattle as part of their doubleheader in the late time slot. And on Monday Night Football we have what looked like an unimportant game when the schedule was announced last spring. That is no longer the case as the 6-3 Houston Texans will face the 7-2 Oakland Raiders in Mexico City in a clash of AFC division leaders to finish the week eleven schedule.

If some of the pairings between games and networks look odd, that is because there is a lot of cross-flex programming going on this week. The concept is to distribute compelling games to more television markets when one network has an abundance of intriguing games and the other network has dogs. This week the Eagles-Seahawks game was shifted from FOX to CBS, while Buffalo-Cincinnati and Miami-Rams moved from CBS to FOX.

One final programming note. The Patriots’ Week 12 game against the Jets at Exit 16W has been flexed, in the more traditional manner. With Gang Green mired at the bottom of the AFC East with a 3-7 record, the Pats-Jets game has been moved out of the 8:30 pm ET Sunday night national prime time slot. 7-2 Kansas City versus 7-3 Denver is a much better matchup, and will now be the Sunday Night Football game. The Pats-Jets will now kickoff at 4:25 pm at MetLife Stadium. Unless there are further changes the Patriots will have no more night games in the regular season.
