On Friday, members of the New England Patriots took time out of their day to honor the true Patriots of the United States on Veterans Day.
Head coach Bill Belichick shared his thoughts on the importance of the holiday;
“Obviously a huge day for our country, to recognize the people that defend our freedom. We talked about it this morning. When you go into the service and you take that oath and say that you’ll put your life between the freedom of this country and somebody that’s trying to harm us, you can’t do much more than that. So that’s a pretty big oath, pretty big pledge. People that have done that, we have tremendous respect and appreciation for.”
