Sebastian Vollmer Avoids Serious Injury, Will Be Ready For Playoffs
Jim O'Connor - USA TODAY Sports
The New England Patriots have had the injury bug hit them more than ever before in 2015, with 17 players currently on injured reserve leading to a combined 201 “man games” lost due to injuries.
On Sunday afternoon versus the New York Jets, it appeared tackle Sebastian Vollmer might be the next added to the list after he injured his left ankle early in the first quarter and didn’t return to game action.

The good news is a report by CSN New England’s Tom E. Curran states the injury was not severe enough to end Vollmer’s season and he will be ready to play come the playoffs. LaAdrian Waddle would start in his place on Sunday versus the Miami Dolphins pending his own injury to his shoulder. Vollmer has been playing the left tackle position since the Week 6 season ending injury to Nate Solder.
