As they do every Thursday, the Westgate in Las Vegas published early advanced ‘look ahead’ odds for the following week’s NFL games. The New England Patriots have been installed as 9½ point home favorites in next week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. After the line was listed the Iggles lost their third straight game, and for the second week in a row Philly surrendered 45 points to an opponent.

A couple other lines caught my attention. Unbeaten Carolina is just a 3½ point favorite against a struggling Saints defense in New Orleans; Miami is favored by 6½ (granted, it is against the Ravens); Minnesota is a 1½ point home underdog against Seattle; and Dallas was listed as a three-point road favorite at Washington – though to be fair, this was prior to Tony Romo‘s injury on Thanksgiving Day. It is also interesting to note that there are more favorites playing on the road (nine) than home favorites (just six).

Here is a look at all of the early week 13 games, with won-loss records that were current at the time these lines were published (i.e., before the week 12 games). It will be interesting to see how FOX, who has next week’s doubleheader, splits up the distribution for the late afternoon game. The Panthers-Saints game has been pushed back to the late afternoon slot, which is shared by the Patriots-Eagles game. Based on the fact that the Carolina game was moved, I’ll assume that game gets nationwide distribution – and the Pats-Eagles will air only in eastern Pennsylvania and New England.
