1. The bad taste left in the mouth of the Patriots from the Colts loss. I don't think I've ever heard BRady or BB so distrught after losses. It sounded like Brady had been crying in the locker room during his postgame interview(nasal sound). BB the next day sounded like he lost a family member. The guy was totally out of it.
2. The obvious reason is the Pats have extra picks and a large amount of salary cap room.
3. The Colts and Ravens are close to the cap and stand to lose a few key players. San Diego lost both coordinators as well as another asst I believe.
4. The offense has a full off season and half a season to get in sync.(McDaniels is more seasoned)
5. Rodney will be a complete season removed from the major knee reconstrcution.
6. In all likelihood they shouldn't have 15 players with the flu next year.
The bottom line is they can't be happy the way they lost. They will be a team on a mission with one goal in mind and that is to win the Superbowl. Watching the 84 49ers draws parallels to what the Pats will accomplish.
The Pats obviously care nothing about Pro Bowl berths and care only about the big prize.
