Byrd looked really good today, 6 innings--3 hits, 3 walks, 1 strikeout, no earned runs!
 
Today, I looked up the match-ups to see who was pitching. Byrd vs Doc Holliday.

Wow, 7-0.
 
Yeah, I was pretty surprised to see him go out there...let alone give us solid innings like that. Should be a nice fill-in in case Tazawa can't get it together or if Wake has a relapse. Either way we need all these kind of starts we can get, regardless of who is throwing them with Beckett giving up bombs.
