I was hoping they'd pick him up, he had a ton of college production, in 3 seasons he had 2746 yds receiving, 1062 on the ground, he's also productive returner as well. I think he'd be a great fit personally. He's also had some nfl production in a similar system at Texans. Looks like a guy who works wonders in space....

Not sure he'll do much this year but interesting pick up imo...

EDIT: And he's a midget so that always helps of course...

Because of all of the injured receivers that hopefully will return, we need a non-developmental veteran receiver / returner (Harper may have promise, but he is clearly not ready yet) who can fill in and contribute right away until some of our injured receivers return. And, Johnson comes from a similar offensive system, perhaps he will pick things up quickly like Martin did (from the same team and system). Seems like an obvious move to me.

Martin picked up the system extremely quickly... Would be neat if Johnson could adapt quickly as well. At the least, it would be great if he could come in and contribute as a returner right away to protect Amendola from those hits for a few weeks.
