JG isn't turning out to be the QB that many here thought he'd be. It's a good thing that the Pats let him go and not Brady.
Seems to me all these Garoppolo verdicts are premature -- he only has one season as a starter under his belt.

the 3rd and 10 when he escaped the rush and threw to Kelce for the 1st was clutch.

He had a couple of good throws for sure, but I thought that he was off a little in this game.

I’d rather have an All Pro Secondary than an All Pro Defensive Line.

Lineman run out of gas.
Pats had the D to beat this Chiefs team. I'm not sure any other team did this season. Too bad the Pats offense was a pile of hot garbage.

I know it's funny to see, but on a more serious note, there's no way those percentages are accurate in today's NFL. The simple fact that it's happened to Shanahan twice, in such a short amount of time, means the actual win-percentage must've been way lower than 99% and 95%. Not to mention, Mahomes pulling off a massive comeback by halftime vs Hou just two games ago. That's simply today's NFL; you can comeback in no time.

Well, I agree with you that the stats aren’t accurate, but in a vacuum, the fact that something improbable happens twice doesn’t make it any less improbable.

i just sent an email of Congratulations to a guy I work with who works in Kansas and is very much a Chiefs fan. He’s in a suburb of KC.

Missouri and Kansas would both claim them.

This would be like giving crap to someone from NH for rooting for the Pats.

Whoosh.

It's still early but he's played enough to see some of his flaws. His pocket presence and ability to read a defense need to improve.

I think people that know nothing about Kansas City other than that it is referred to as Kansas City, MO are making fools of themselves. KC sits right on the border of Kansas and Missouri. Half is in Kansas, half is in Missouri. Trust me, people in Kansas very much claim the Chiefs. I lived there.
"There are two cities in the United States named Kansas City. Kansas City, Missouri was incorporated in 1852, and Kansas City, Kansas was incorporated 20 years later. Kansas City is not a bi-state city that grew past its borders like St Louis or Louisville, it is two separate cities that share a border."

I’m a little relieved that the 49ers’ attempt to buy a Super Bowl didn’t work. By being uncompetitive in recent seasons, they rolled over enough cap room to have a total 2019 cap hit almost $30 million over the unadjusted cap. I hope that loophole is closed in the new CBA before the Colts try the same thing with their $46 million rollover.

When I worked in that area, at least half of Missouri claimed the Rams. Now I’m sure that’s no longer the case, but back in the day, the Chiefs really were more embraced by all of Kansas than Missouri.

thank god we have a president that knows everything!
I think the team name threw him off lol.

He is hard at work campaigning, I don't know why, he can go on a vacation for the next 5 years and he will be ok. He has delivered on everything he said he would. What can anybody says? Really. Please don't reply to this. I don't want my post deleted. #Patjewstillresisting.

Yeah, Kansas City is on the border of Kansas and Missouri. The border goes right through the city.

Triumph called the outcome again.

Jimmy is a fraud. SF had 3 timeouts and 1:30 in the 1st half and they let the clock run out because Shanny did not trust Jimmy Baby.

Shocked that he didn't let him throw. That being said they did finally heave one up for a big gain that was taken back by a questionable call.

I get what you are saying, but I'm not arguing percentages for the sake of percentages. I'm saying big comebacks happen way too often in the NFL for these percentages to be true. For example, the 28-3 comeback was not something that Tom Brady could only pull of once in 100 attempts. Hell, we've seen Brady have similar (near) comebacks vs San Fran in 2012 & vs Denver too. Both had much better defense. Were there anything even close to 99 losses in similar situations for Brady? Hell no. Same goes for all the other elite QBs in this era.

Please stop. Kansas City is the largest city in Missouri. There is a Kansas City Kansas but that is not where the Chiefs are located. If you still are confused, here is where you can write the Chiefs for remedial instruction: Arrowhead Stadium 1 Arrowhead Drive Kansas City, MO 64129-1651.

Think it’s important to acknowledge the massive boost the Chiefs got this season thanks to Jerome Bogar. Would it have mattered in the end? Probably not. Patriots screwed themselves the next week, but you just never know if winning that game could have changed everything.

When the Chiefs had a drive stalled by an interception down 20-10 with about nine minutes left, I told myself that the Niners had to score a TD to ice the game. I knew KC was going to get two fast scores...they got 3 in 7 minutes...

Who cares for facts these days? The truth is what you make it to be.
He knows everything, his press secretary will say tomorrow that he was just saying the Kansas city Chiefs play as hard as the people of Kansas. He did not say they are from there. See how easy it was? I did not even try.

And tonight..even with out flawed 2019 offense, I still felt that the Patriots would have been competitive.

Let's get Brady back, sign up for Hulu, and ****ing gooooooo!!!!

Yeah, it's actually a really good question about statistics and modeling an outcome.

I'd actually say that a generic team being up 28-3 late in the third quarter has a 99% chance of winning. If you rolled that game 100 times between two normal teams in the regular season, the team up 25 probably does win between 95 and 100 times...right?

That's probably what the percentages are calculated on. They don't take into account what Brady would do. That's a lot harder to model. He still probably only wins 1 or 2 times out of 10 though when down 25. (As you noted, the SF result was a loss).

I agree win probability isn't accurate, but we can only say that because we know it's a made up stat. That was what my response was getting at. If you played a roulette wheel of 1 to 20 and the ball hit 20 twice in a row, you're just unlucky, you wouldn't say it was rigged...
